Covid-19

Free home-learning resources

Since school closures were announced in March, teachers and parents have done an incredible job of rising to the challenge and adapting to this new way of teaching and learning.

Here at Maths Week London, we want to continue to encourage a love of maths, wherever children happen to be learning.

To support you and your students and/or children, we’ve put together a shortlist of helpful resources from Maths Week London Partners.

Sumdog

Covid 19 offer: Free access to the full Sumdog platform during school closures, up until the summer holidays

Sumdog is an online learning platform providing personalised practice for maths, spelling and grammar.

Set work remotely in just a few clicks and get real-time feedback on children’s accuracy. In Sumdog there are over 20 fun games for children to choose from which keep them motivated and engaged in their learning. Whilst children choose the game they want to play, you control the learning by choosing the skill you want them to practise.

“As a teacher, Sumdog enables me to remotely set work for my learners, focusing on particular skills to consolidate learning. I can easily review participation and set differentiated challenges, whilst maintaining a fun and engaging learning experience for the children and help our parents and carers during these exceptional home learning circumstances.” Miss Thompson, St Mary’s Primary School

We are passionately  committed to helping teachers harness the power of online technologies to engage all learners and help them achieve their full potential, at all ages and across all parts of the curriculum. During this challenging time, LGfL is working hard to provide support for schools.

In response, we created a dedicated website to provide guidance and resources for those supporting school communities through the current Covid‑ 19 outbreak.

To help schools offer continued meaningful education during school closures, the majority of LGfL learning resources have been changed to open access (no login needed) for the LGfL school community.
